Agni Samaj’s Martial Arts Revolution Among the Most Vulnerable and Underserved Children

Free training, national participation, Gold medals, workshops, and more

In November 2024, Agni Samaj, in collaboration with Sewa Nyaya Utthan Foundation, launched a Martial Arts Centre in Jodhpur.

The vision was clear: train poor, underserved, refugee children in self-defence, discipline and confidence-building. The idea was that if we could transform the most vulnerable – that is, Pakistani Hindu refugee kids who had faced religious persecution in Pakistan and then displacement – it would become a model for transforming all others

Led by Sanjeev Newar, the programme began with 40 children, both girls and boys.

Free uniforms, equipment, coach and training facilities were provided for free.

Within Two Months, National Medals

In January 2025, the kids scripted history at the National School Games Karate Championship in Jaipur – winning six Gold Medals and multiple Silver Medals, defeating competitors from privileged schools and established academies.

The team was also awarded the Best Team Trophy, making headlines across Rajasthan.

The achievement promoted the local MLA Devendra Joshi to visit and congratulate the children and Agni Samaj.

This was the first time Pakistani Hindu refugee children had competed at any national sports competition.

National Honours, Again

Children from Agni Samaj centre repeated their stellar performances in another competition held in June, winning three Gold and 13 Silver medals.

Regular Workshops in Vulnerable Areas

Agni Samaj has been holding one-day workshops for children, including one in Chhattisgarh, to introduce them to Martial Arts and strength-building.

From children once forced to flee their homeland, Agni Samaj has created a new generation of champions who carry the pride of Dharma onto national stages. The aim is to replicate this model across communities throughout Bharat.
