How Sanjeev Newar Forced Most Influential AI Grok to Apologise and Retract Claim of Beef in Vedas
Grok made to acknowledge that its claim was based on colonial interpretation, not scholarship of Sanskrit texts
In a significant intellectual victory for Dharma, Sanjeev Newar, IIT–IIM alumnus and Vedic scholar, compelled the widely used AI platform Grok AI to withdraw its claim that beef consumption is endorsed in the Vedas.
WHAT HAPPENED
When Grok AI asserted that the Vedas sanctioned beef eating, Sanjeev Newar confronted the claim head-on.
Presenting rigorous textual references and scholarly rebuttals, he exposed the inaccuracy of Grok’s statement.
Newar Called out Grok’s claim as “the laziest and most intellectually bankrupt distortions ever pushed. He posted a thread rebuttal citing Ved Samhitas. This thread viewed more than half-a-million times.
He also Newar posted a point-by-point rebuttal as an article.
Through repeated confrontations, he forced Grok to publicly apologise and announce it would re-evaluate its knowledge base. Grok acknowledged that Ved Samhitas ENDORSE cow protection and PROHIBIT cow slaughter and beef-eating.
THE OUTCOME
- Grok AI issued a formal apology and retracted the claim.
- The correction ensures that millions who use the platform will no longer be misled about the Vedas.
- The incident demonstrated how Dharmic scholarship, when combined with assertive engagement, can reshape narratives even on powerful global platforms.
WHY IT MATTERS
For decades, false propaganda has been circulated to paint Vedic Dharma as primitive or contradictory. By forcing a global AI system to acknowledge its mistake, Sanjeev Newar established a precedent: no distortion of sacred texts will go unchallenged.
This victory is not just about one correction – it is about reclaiming intellectual authority over Sanatan Vedic Dharma’s legacy.
